Build Hours. Master Skills. Make Money.

The Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) course is structured to guide a commercial pilot certificate holder in obtaining the Certified Flight Instructor rating. Having a CFI certificate is necessary for instructing other pilot certificate applicants, conducting flight reviews, overseeing aircraft proficiency, and facilitating insurance checkouts. It serves as a foundational step for those looking to broaden their career prospects in the field of professional piloting.

Teaching is an effective method for mastering a subject, and becoming a flight instructor goes beyond expectations, rapidly enhancing flight knowledge and proficiency. As a CFI, one can accrue valuable flight hours, gain hands-on experience, refine skills, and increase awareness of safety—all while earning a wage for flying.

READY TO TAKE FLIGHT?

Common Questions For Becoming A Certified Flight Instructor

To become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), you first need to hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with an instrument rating. After completing ground school and flight training, which includes teaching aviation concepts and practicing maneuvers from the right seat, you'll prepare for the final checkride. Once you pass the checkride, you’ll officially be a CFI, ready to teach others and build valuable flight time.

What Is A CFI Course?

You’ll learn how to communicate aviation concepts like a pro, both on the ground and in the air.

Will I Be Able To Build Time As A CFI?

YES! While you’re teaching, you’ll also be building valuable flight time, getting paid to fly, and sharpening your own skills!
